The company is a leading provider of Business to Business services based around a cutting-edge technology. In support of these services, they are seeking an SQL DBA / Developer. The role encompasses day to day DBA responsibilities together with the maintenance and development of the Company’s central systems which are primarily SQL and C# .NET based.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Daily checking of central systems availability.
• Monitor and fix problems with daily SQL workload.
• Setup, Backup and recovery of SQL databases.
• Performance management of SQL databases.
• Development and provision of Ad hoc and management reporting.
• Testing and signoff of new developments before implementation.
• Optimisation of SQL Code / procedures.
• Development as directed of DTS packages and complex stored procedures/function.
• Development and integration of common reports into Web based systems.

Experience required:
• SQL DBA/support experience SQL 2005/2008 environment
• SQL coding experience including stored procedures, triggers, DTS packages etc
• Microsoft SQL 2005/2008 server experience
• Development experience of MS SQL Server 2005/2008, DTS and complex stored procedures.
• Experience of optimisation of SQL Code / procedures
• Crystal Reports experience.
• Experience of IIS
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Motivated and a can-do attitude is a must

Beneficial experience:
• .NET application experience
• .NET web application development experience
• C# / .Net Experience (ideally focused on ASP.net, web applications, web services)
• HTML and Java script skills
• Experience with Internet related technologies
